I-10 reopens in Phoenix after deadly crash
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person was killed, and at least one other was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 10 in Phoenix overnight, which caused a partial freeway closure.
The three-vehicle crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday on eastbound I-10 near 27th Avenue.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said at least two people were hospitalized. One of them was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Eastbound I-10 was completely closed near 27th Avenue as authorities responded, leading to a large backup on eastbound I-10. The freeway was reopened around 7 a.m.
